Remember these three keys to spotting and identifyi…ng rip currents: ? Water texture: look for the areas where waves are NOT breaking ? Water movement: watch for a line of foam, seaweed, and/or debris moving away from the beach ? Water color: rip currents often have darker colored water than the water immediately surrounding them Rip currents are often times easier to spot from an elevated vantage point, such as a beach access. If you’re visiting the beach and having trouble locating any potential rips, ask one of our lifeguards for assistance. Please help us spread the word, this stuff can save a life!
