BEACH FLAGS CHANGED TO DOUBLE RED ?? SWFD Lifeguards will be changing all beach flags to double red on Sunday afternoon (9/11/22) due to life-threatening surf h…azards present. Double Red Flags mean the Gulf is closed to swimmers in Walton County. It is illegal to enter the water and violators of the County Ordinance can face criminal citations and/or fines. For the safety of yourself and our lifeguards who would be called to rescue you, stay on dry sand. We will continue to monitor surf conditions and provide updates accordingly.
